Minnie Lamb...........Photo circa 1930

Minnie was one of the ten children
of William and Eliza.
She worked in service in the East End of London until her marriage at age 21 to Louis Peacock.
She later moved to her husband's birth place of Halifax in Yorkshire.
Minnie had three children, Margaret, Bill and Barbara.
During WW2 Louis served in The Royal Artillery and was one of thousands trapped at Dunkirk in 1940 awaiting evacuation. Unable to get on one of the large boats he was rescued by one of the 'little ships'. Safely home he learnt that the boat he had initially attempted to get on had been destroyed by enemy action.
