Sgt. Henry Lamb   D Company 8th Battalion   Queens Royal West Surrey       Henry was the son of William Lamb   and Mary Ann Stageman

Henry was born on 10th August 1884 and married Esther Jenkins in January 1904.

The father of four children was killed at Ypres by a shell on 26th June 1917.

Although his grave was marked at the time, it was lost in subsequent fighting and as a result his name is on the Menin Gate at Ypres.

Henry's widow Esther died a year later in 1918 aged 34 of the flu.
